Michigan Snocross has joined forces with the Canadian National Snowcross Series, CSRA, to jointly host the inaugural Snowcross Border Cup. Competitors from the United States and Canada will compete to claim the title of Border Cup Champion for their respective country. This event is open to all American and Canadian riders regardless of their regular participation in Michigan Snocross or CSRA.

WHO WILL TAKE THE CUP HOME?
The Border Cup will feature two rounds over two days. The top 10 racers in each class will accumulate points for their home country towards the Border Cup. Every class, ranging from youth classes to pro classes, will contribute to the points tally. Will the cup stay with the Americans, or will Canadians take it home with them??

Prepare yourself for an exhilarating clash at the Snowcross Border Cup, where national rivalry combines with team spirit and an exhibition of racing talents! The USA and Canada will face off at Northern Power Race Park in December 2024, but how are the teams decided?

MEMBERSHIPS
TEAM USA & TEAM CANADA
All racers must purchase a membership either through Michigan Snocross or CSRA depending on the Country they will be racing for. All crewmembers who need access to the hot pits / starting line area must purchase a Crew Membership.
Weekend memberships are available. This membership will act as your gate fee into the park for this event and will grant you access to all areas of the park.
ISR LICENSE
Both Michigan Snocross & CSRA are ISR Affiliates, all racers must have a valid ISR License to participate.
If you are a Canadian athlete that plans to race all rounds of Michigan Snocross this season, you do not need to purchase a CSRA Membership for this event. Please purchase a Michigan Snocross season membership and register for this event through the Northern Power Race Park online registration portal. Your registration will be transferred to Team Canada for this event.

What time do the gates open and close?Thursday: (Park pits open for parking) Gates open: 5 pm Gates close: 11 pm Friday: Gates open: 7 am Gates close: 10 pm Saturday & Sunday: Gates open: 6 am Gates close: 11 pm *Please note: the gates will be locked once closed, no entry or exit allowed.

Do you have open practice times and how do I register?Yes! We have open snocross practice before and after the Snowcross Border Cup. All practice passes will be purchased at the park in the registration cabin. You must have a practice pass sticker on your helmet before you enter the track. Practice Times: Friday, December 6: 10 am - 2 pm Monday, December 9: 11 am - 7 pm Tuesday, December 10: 11 am - 7 pm (We will be open Wednesday December 11 if there is interest in open practice). Open Practice Pricing: 4 Hours: 120/200's: $50 17 and under: $75 18 and up: $100 8 Hours: 120/200's: $75 17 and under: $50 18 and up: $125

What will the race day schedule be?The race day schedule will be the standard Michigan Snocross split schedule program with all youth classes in the morning and sport/pro classes in the afternoon. See an example of the schedule below, the actual schedule will be available soon!

Where do I park?Please see the Northern Power Race Park map below! We ask that there is only ONE vehicle per trailer in the pits. The first two rows of the pits are reserved parking spots for both Michigan Snocross and CSRA Premier Parking pass holders, all non-reserved MSX premier parking spots will be blocked off.

What is the race format for the Snowcross Border Cup?The Border Cup will follow the standard Snocross race format with. Each class will get: - Practice time on track before racing begins. - Two Heats. - An LCQ (if applicable) - A final (max 15 riders in each final).

How do the points work for the Border Cup?Racers will compete through two heat races and an LCQ for their spot in their classes final race. The top 10 places in the final will count towards the Snowcross Border Cup overall points! The country with the most accumulated points through both rounds of racing will take home the Snowcross Border Cup trophy.

What if I'm a Canadian racer but I plan to race with Michigan Snocross the rest of the season?Please purchase a Michigan Snocross Season Membership and register through Northern Power Race Park's online registration portal like normal. We will transfer your registration for this event over to Team Canada.

What classes don't count towards the Border Cup?There are a few classes that won't count towards the Snowcross Border Cup points competition. These classes will still run and the racers will score points towards their respective series. CSRA Classes: - 120-Briggs PRO 206 (6 - 7) - 120-Briggs PRO 206 (8 - 10) - Pro 225 - Novice 200 Beginner Michigan Snocross Classes: - Transition Girls 8 - 12 - Junior Girls 9 - 13 - 120 Champ - Stock 200 Girls (6 - 12)
